Possibilities Galore

Supposedly New York City is the city that never sleeps.  Having only stayed there once on the back end of missed flight connection coming back from overseas, I really cannot verify that because I was too tired to care.    But I would imagine that in such a massive city, there is enough going on to keep a person busy as long as they wanted to be.

So, Nebraska is a bit more slower paced.  A lot more slower paced?  Even though festivities may end a bit sooner in the corn state than in the Big Apple, more events are taking place across Nebraska than one might realize.  My goal is to update my Odyssey Through Nebraska Facebook page with a list of many events that are happening each week across Nebraska.  And surprisingly, some even do take place at night.  For instance, Friday night as a part of Kool-Aid Days in Hastings, you can attend “Koolaid After Dark.”  Before you get too excited, the planned activities consist of flashlight tag and making homemade glow sticks.  But hey, the kids would be thrilled!

I am sure that I will miss many events – after all, with 93 counties, Nebraska is a bigger state than one often recognizes.  But I will do my best to keep my Facebook page updated.  If you know of an event that you would like me to feature, please e-mail me at odysseythroughnebraska@gmail.com.  Or simply post something on the Facebook page.  Please keep in mind that I want this to be a very family friendly site!  Thanks!
